KNIGHTLY
Calcedny strongly identifies with the image of a knight in that he devotes himself to protecting the Lady Paraiba and those without power. He associates knighthood with adulthood, and as a result tends to act more like a grownup than a 16-year-old. Because he dedicates himself entirely to the Empire, one would be hardpressed to find a more loyal subject to the Empress.

TEAMWORK!!
In tandem with a strong inclination toward teamwork through his marvelous achievements with Byrocks and Peridot, Calcedny's trust in his comrade-in-arms nurtures his self-sacrificial attitude where the salvation of others are concerned. He has a tremendous amount of faith in his fellow knights, and it's not at all a stretch to claim that they're a surrogate family. At the same time, they end up becoming his greatest weakness.

TEMPERAMENTAL
So the Anger Spirune turns him moody for a spell, but that's not the only occasion he shows a temper. For a perfectionist such as Calcedny, a lot can try his fuse: shirking one's work, insulting the Lady Paraiba, attacking his captain's pride—the list goes on. Because he's wholeheartedly involved in his affairs, he's very touchy if someone drags those matters through the mud. It goes without saying that he loses a good chunk of his rationality when he's genuinely angry. For one, he'll chop your legs off if you make fun of his height.

HAUGHTY
While he's not downright arrogant, he prides himself on his fortes (of which there are admittedly few, given that Byrocks and Peridot dote on him). It's a sort of failing of his to constantly prove himself, since it's the burning need to correct wrongs that gets him baited easily. Oh, he doesn't want to swim? Why, is he bad at it? No, he's great at swimming, thank you very much, and he'll show you. . . . Then he realizes he fell for it.

SELF-RIGHTEOUS
Despite his entirely too serious outlook on everything, he's fairly idealistic and moralistic on his own. This ties in with his sense of knighthood and temper, given that he speaks adamantly against what he perceives to be wrong or ill-intentioned. Consequently, he can be rather inflexible. It's not a very endearing trait, and basically the cause behind his initially poor relationship with Shing.

STIFF (boring)
He can't say Paraiba sans title without freaking out and complaining about how difficult it is. Come on now.

HEARTY
Everything he does and says isn't out of some need to achieve glory, but the direct result of his feelings for the Lady Paraiba. Calcedny harbors powerful feelings in general, which is why his responses tend to carry a great deal of weight (and makes him nag like the dickens). His heart is his driving force, and this is what makes his intentions so pure and unshakable. After all, his one desire in life is to make Paraiba happy.

BABY (aww)
He screams at the sight of bugs and claims it's because they popped out of nowhere. Everyone knows he hates them. Really, he's a city boy through and through.

sᴀᴍᴘʟᴇ: Something that only we can do . . .

ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇʟsᴇ? He'll retain memories of the fourth wall.
